The United Arab Emirates has officially launched the seventh edition of its highly anticipated Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp, an initiative designed to cultivate a new generation of innovators and empower them with critical advanced technology skills. Running from mid-July to mid-August 2025, the immersive program is a collaborative effort between the UAE National Programme for Artificial Intelligence and the National Programme for Coders. The primary objective of the camp is to harness the promising potential of youth and equip them with the latest AI technologies and tools, fostering future-ready skills that enable them to apply artificial intelligence across various facets of life. Participants are encouraged to design innovative solutions to real-world challenges, thereby driving progress in advanced technology sectors.
The camp targets a broad spectrum of individuals, encompassing diverse age groups, professional backgrounds, and societal segments. This includes children, school and university students, as well as seasoned AI and coding experts.
The comprehensive educational experience covers seven pivotal themes: the future of artificial intelligence, data science and machine learning, smart applications in education, healthcare, and finance, web development and robotics, AI ethics and governance, cybersecurity, and virtual and augmented reality. The curriculum explicitly includes training in generative artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning, aiming to significantly enhance participants’ programming skills and prepare them to design sophisticated AI applications. The program structure incorporates a variety of learning formats, including knowledge workshops, interactive sessions, competitive hackathons, practical challenges, and expert-led lectures, ensuring a dynamic and engaging environment for all attendees.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office in the UAE Government, underscored the significance of the initiative. He stated that the UAE Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp “reflects the vision of the nation’s leadership to build a future led by a knowledgeable and empowered generation, equipped with AI tools and capable of applying them effectively across all aspects of life.” Dr. Al Mahmoud further highlighted that “the continuity of the camp and the growing community engagement underscore the increasing awareness, both societal and institutional, of the importance of adopting advanced technologies.”
The workshops and activities are conducted in close collaboration with a consortium of government and private sector entities, alongside leading global technology companies specializing in artificial intelligence and coding. This collaborative approach ensures that the training is aligned with industry best practices and real-world applications.
