The newly formed generative AI factory provides a robust technological infrastructure and a strategic foundation to scale generative AI capabilities throughout the Air France-KLM Group. Hosted on Google Cloud, this framework supports advanced agentic AI capabilities and is expected to streamline the transition from experimental AI projects to enterprise-ready solutions, potentially accelerating development cycles by over 35%.
This collaboration builds upon Air France-KLM’s ongoing multi-year initiative to migrate its digital applications from three legacy data centers to a multi-cloud environment, a project initiated with Accenture in March. The establishment of the AI factory leverages this modernized cloud infrastructure, enabling real-time data access and data-driven decision-making.
Strategic Objectives and Expected Impact
The primary objective of the generative AI factory is to unlock significant business value and enhance operational excellence. Air France-KLM aims to:

The generative AI projects factory is hosted on a dedicated and secured generative AI cloud instance, benefiting from multimodal capabilities, a flexible multicloud approach, and ultra-low latency. Google Cloud will also provide training and support sessions to Air France-KLM’s teams, fostering a culture of data democratization.
