Bonx Secures $8.6 Million Seed Funding to Revolutionize European Manufacturing with AI-Powered ERP

TLDR: Parisian startup Bonx has successfully raised $8.6 million in seed funding to advance its AI-powered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform for mid-sized European manufacturers. The investment, led by 9900 Capital, will fuel product development, team expansion, and strategic market growth in Italy and Spain, addressing the urgent need for modern, agile operational software in the continent’s industrial sector.

Paris, France – Bonx, a French startup specializing in advanced operational software for the European manufacturing industry, has announced the successful closure of an $8.6 million seed funding round. This significant investment aims to accelerate the development and expansion of its cutting-edge AI-powered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, designed specifically for mid-sized factories across Europe.

The funding round was led by 9900 Capital, with notable participation from Kima Ventures, Purple, OSS Ventures, and Dynamo Ventures. This collective backing underscores strong investor confidence in Bonx’s innovative approach to modernizing a sector grappling with outdated systems and increasing operational complexities.

Founded in 2022 by Alexandre Barroux and Rémi Beges within OSS Ventures, Bonx addresses a critical challenge faced by Europe’s manufacturing backbone: the urgent need for digital transformation amidst intensifying global competition and intricate supply chains. Many mid-sized manufacturers are still reliant on legacy ERP systems that are ill-equipped for today’s fast-paced and precision-demanding operations, often leading to inefficiencies and a reliance on manual processes like spreadsheets.

Bonx’s solution is a modern ERP platform engineered for rapid deployment and adaptability. It combines no-code configuration, advanced AI capabilities, and swift implementation, enabling manufacturers to digitize their operations in weeks rather than years. The platform seamlessly integrates with existing systems, providing comprehensive visibility and control over production, logistics, procurement, and quality, without necessitating the replacement of core finance or CRM tools.

Alexandre Barroux, CEO of Bonx, articulated the company’s vision: “Our mission remains clear: empower manufacturers to simplify and take control of their operations through technology that adapts to their precise needs. This funding propels us into our next phase – becoming Europe’s definitive ERP leader for mid-sized manufacturers, expanding our successful model from France into new key markets, notably Italy and Spain.”

Juliette Sylvain, Principal at 9900 Capital, commented on the investment, stating, “Bonx is redefining the ERP landscape by combining extraordinary implementation speeds with genuinely impactful AI-driven capabilities, driving enormous efficiencies within an industry plagued by legacy software. We are excited to support Bonx as it sets a new industry standard and scales across Europe.”

The newly secured capital will be strategically utilized to grow Bonx’s team, further enhance its product offerings, and scale its presence in key European manufacturing economies, particularly Italy and Spain, where the company already has a foothold. Bonx’s platform is already being adopted by a growing number of French manufacturers, including suppliers to Décathlon and emerging brands like French Bloom.

Unlike traditional ERP deployments, which can be costly, protracted, and require extensive consulting, Bonx is designed for quick go-live and continuous evolution with the shop floor. Customers have reported full system rollouts in as little as three to ten weeks, alongside measurable improvements in traceability, purchasing workflows, and inventory coordination. The software’s modular and visual interface is designed to be intuitive for operators and supply chain teams, ensuring that factories can shape the system to fit their actual processes rather than conforming to rigid software structures.
