TLDR: ByteXL, an edtech firm, has collaborated with St. Mary’s Women’s College of Engineering in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, to launch a program that will empower over 4,000 women engineering students with AI-driven learning and digital skills. The initiative aims to modernize the curriculum, enhance faculty capabilities, and digitize classrooms to prepare students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities for global competitiveness in the tech industry.
GUNTUR, Andhra Pradesh – In a significant move to bolster tech education and employability among women, ByteXL, a prominent edtech company specializing in AI-driven learning and digital skilling, has formalized a partnership with St. Mary’s Women’s College of Engineering in Guntur. This collaboration, announced on November 7, 2025, is set to launch a transformative program designed to empower more than 4,000 women engineers across the institution’s two campuses in Guntur.
The initiative leverages ByteXL’s proprietary bCAP (Academic Integration Model) to comprehensively modernize the teaching and learning ecosystem across all engineering disciplines at St. Mary’s. The core objective is to bridge the educational and opportunity gap between metropolitan areas and emerging educational hubs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities within Andhra Pradesh.
Sricharan Tadepalli, CSO and Co-Founder of ByteXL, emphasized the strategic importance of this focus, stating, “We see immense untapped potential in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. By integrating our AI-powered platform and industry-aligned curriculum into colleges like St. Mary’s, we are providing students in these regions with the same opportunities for global competitiveness as their peers in metropolitan centers.”
The program is built upon three foundational pillars: faculty empowerment, curriculum modernization, and classroom digitization. Faculty members will receive continuous training and co-teaching support to enhance their pedagogical skills. The curriculum will be updated to incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI, Cloud computing, and Full Stack Development, ensuring relevance to current industry demands. Furthermore, classrooms will be digitized, providing students with access to the ByteXL Cloud Platform for AI assistance, coding practice, and advanced analytics.
This holistic approach is designed to ensure that students achieve HackerRank-level proficiency, earn skill-based badges, and actively participate in hackathons and capstone projects. These practical experiences are crucial for graduating as future-ready, globally competitive engineers.
Dr. Rev. K. V. K. Rao, Chairman of St. Mary’s Group of Institutions, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting, “This partnership brings our vision of learning beyond textbooks to life, embedding technology, skill development, and employability directly into the classroom.” Adding to this, Karun Tadepalli, CEO and Co-founder of ByteXL, highlighted the broader impact, stating, “This collaboration represents a full-scale college transformation, ensuring students in smaller cities gain access to industry-relevant skills and technology-driven learning.” He further elaborated, “We are taking a step ahead and moving toward a complete college transformation model that covers every aspect of learning. Our partnership with St. Mary’s Group of Institutions focuses on integrating technology and employability training directly into the classroom so students can stay ahead in an evolving tech landscape.”
