Our Review
4.5 / 5.0
Prequel stands out as a highly versatile and user-friendly mobile editing application, particularly appealing to those who want to elevate their photos and videos with a distinct aesthetic. Its strength lies in its vast library of trendy filters and effects, which are regularly updated, keeping content fresh and engaging. The recent integration of AI features, such as AI avatar generation and AI art, adds a significant layer of creativity, allowing users to transform their images in novel ways. While many basic features are available for free, the true power and variety of Prequel are unlocked with a premium subscription, which can be a barrier for some. The app’s intuitive interface makes it accessible even for beginners, yet it offers enough depth for more experienced editors to fine-tune their creations. Performance is generally smooth, though resource-intensive effects can sometimes cause minor slowdowns on older devices. Overall, Prequel is an excellent choice for social media enthusiasts, content creators, and anyone looking to add a professional and artistic touch to their visual content.
